Carrollton, GA - The North Alabama Lions proved themselves as a top-15 team this weekend at Cole Field, as the West Georgia Wolves fell Sunday by a 10-1 count to the 15th-ranked Lions.
Two big innings were the difference in Sunday's contest, as the Lions pounded out four runs in the second inning and matched that total in the eighth to hand the Wolves their 10th Gulf South Conference loss of the season.
Freshman #
Jamie Sexton# took the loss for the Wolves, working seven innings and giving up nine runs on nine hits. The right-hander struck out eight batters and walked five to take his fourth loss of the season.

Brett Wright# was 2-for-4 on the day with a triple. The only UWG run came in the bottom of the eighth inning when junior third baseman #
Garrett May# ripped a solo home run over the left-center wall.
The Wolves now hit the road for nine games over a span of nearly three weeks. Next up is a trip to Talladega on Wednesday, followed by a trip to Lambuth next weekend.
