Valdosta, GA - The 2011 West Georgia baseball season came to an end at Billy Grant Field Sunday afternoon, as the Wolves fell 15-2 to the Valdosta State Blazers in the UWG season finale.

The game marked the fifth straight game that VSU was able to manufacture at least 10 runs in a game against the Wolves. West Georgia starter #Justin Key# took the loss in the game after giving up seven runs on six hits in the first three innings of the contest.

Senior #David Buchanan# picked up two RBI in his final game in a West Georgia uniform. The catcher delivered a single that scored #Andy Marinelli# and #Michael Hollis# in the sixth inning for the only West Georgia runs of the contest.

The Wolves end the season at 18-30 overall and 5-15 in Gulf South Conference play. West Georgia's #Stuart Drew# had an individual effort to remember this season, hitting .440 with 80 total hits, 11 doubles, three triples, 25 RBI and 35 stolen bases, numbers that are likely worthy of All-American status.
