Carrollton, GA – The UWG Wolves hosted the Coker Cobras for the second and final game of their midweek series on Tuesday afternoon at Cole Field. An eight-run outburst in the seventh propelled the Wolves to a 15-2 victory over the visiting squad.
The Wolves offense has been on fire for the past three games, putting up 46 runs in that span. The UWG team batting average of .311 is currently second-best in the Gulf South Conference, behind only 7
th-ranked Delta State.
That average only rose on Tuesday, as West Georgia put up 17 hits in the game today. #

Alex Wilson# got the start for the Wolves today for the Wolves and pitched eight beautiful innings, allowing only two runs and four hits to pick up his second win of the season. Freshman #

The Wolves are riding a five-game winning streak right now where they have outscored their opponents 58-15, but one of the biggest tests of the 2012 season is right on the UWG doorstep, as the Wolves will travel to West Alabama for their second Gulf South Conference series of the year.
West Georgia overall is now 11-5 and enters the weekend series with a 3-0 record in conference play. First pitch is set for 4 p.m. Saturday, March 10 in Livingston, Alabama.
