Carrollton, GA – After a slow defensive game for both teams today at Cole Field, the UWG baseball squad won Tuesday's midweek battle against the Miles Bears in the bottom of the ninth on an #Adam Whitlock# line drive. The 5-4 win over Miles College puts the Wolves at 19-16 on the season.

After giving up a run in each of the first two innings of the game, pitcher #Seth McClure# went six more innings, only giving up one run. McClure on the day went 7.1 innings, giving up only four hits and three earned runs. McClure also had seven strike outs on the day.

#Max Aeschilmann# would finish the game for the Wolves pitching 1.2 innings and allowing zero runs. Aeschilmann would earn the win in this game, putting him at 5-4 on the season.

With the absence of #Stuart Drew#, #Brett Wright# stepped up in the leadoff spot, going 2-for-4 on the day and extending his hit streak to 10 games on the season, the longest hit streak so far this year for the Wolves. #Tanner Drennan# also had a multi-hit day today and scored one of the five runs for West Georgia.

Other Wolves with hits on the day were #Andy Marinelli#, #Evan Hester#, #Galen Smith#, and Whitlock. There were only nine hits on the day for UWG who couldn't seem to have that one breakout inning.

The Wolves will play again tomorrow, Wednesday, April 11, at Cole Field against Georgia College at 5 p.m. which is a recent game time change.
