Carrollton, GA – After being down 7-0 after two innings, the UWG baseball squad fought to stay in the game but eventually lost 10-7 to the Bobcats of Georgia College on Wednesday evening at Cole Field.

Alex Wilson# got the start for the Wolves today and only lasted one inning after taking a good hit by the visitors. Wilson gave up six hits and four earned runs. #
Blake McLemore# relieved Wilson in the second inning. McLemore would go two and one-third innings and give up five hits and three earned runs.
The Wolves most effective pitcher on the night was freshman #
Alex Allen#. Allen pitched the last three innings of the game retiring all nine batters he faced in a row. The UWG freshman also struck out four batters.

Stuart Drew# had a great return tonight after missing two games from getting hit in the face by a wild pitch versus Valdosta State. Drew went 4-for-5 on the day scoring two runs and knocking in one.

Andy Marinelli# had an impressive offensive showing as well going 3-for-4 with four RBIs and drawing a walk. Marinelli and Drew combined for seven of West Georgia's ten hits on the night. Marinelli has a current hitting streak now of nine games.

Galen Smith#, contributed as well getting two hits on the night in the DH spot.
With this loss, the Wolves fall to 19-17 on the season. UWG will play a doubleheader tomorrow against Paine starting at 2 p.m. at Cole Field.
