Carrollton, GA - The  Wolves continued their early season success moving to 7-2 on the season after sweeping Lynn Univeristy Saturday afternoon.
 
In the first game the Wolves fell behind early with Paul Stortini drove a line drive down the left field line scoring Cory Elasik and Alex Freedman, giving the Lynn a quick 2-0 lead.

The Wolves battled back scoring five runs in the second through the fifth inning.

It started in the second inning when #John Mark Rhodes# scored on a throwing error by Lynn's second baseman. Moving to the third inning, Rhodes singled into left field scoring #Blake McLemore#. Later in the inning, #T.J. Eifert doubled into right field scoring Dylan Coleman. This gave the Wolves a 3-2 lead over Lynn.

In the fourth inning, senior #Evan Hester# had an RBI when he drove a ball down the left field line scoring #Jake Shirley#. McLemore moved to third on Hester's hit, and then later scored on a throwing error from the short stop.

The sixth inning is when UWG erupted and put up six runs in the inning. The Wolves saw three different pitchers on the inning, partly because of five different walks they surrendered. The major highlight from the inning was when McLemore singled through the right side scoring #Tyler Landmon# and #Dustin Brantley#.

In the eighth inning the Wolves scored three more runs. Two of the runs came off RBI walks from Eifert and from Rhodes. Brantley also had a late RBI with a sacrifice fly to left field.

The Wolves bats were alive winning the game 14-3, but the biggest story might be #Chase Reimer# and his excellent pitching performance against the Lynn University hitters. Reimer pitched eight innings giving up three earned runs and recording seven strikeouts. Reimer came away with his second win of the day.

The second game was only a seven inning game, and it was a lot closer.

Left hander #Jonathon Black# started the game for the Wolves going three innings and giving up one earned run.
The Fighting Knights struck the scoreboard first in the fourth inning when Jason Matusik singled through the left side scoring Mike Gonzalez off of Black. #Cody Skinner# came into the game later that inning shutting down the Knights and getting out of the inning.

It took the Wolves a little longer to score in the second game compared to the first, but in the fifth inning their bats heated up. Eifert doubled down the left field line driving in both #Trey Dickson# and Landmon. After Eifert advanced to third on a wild pitch, McLemore singled to left field scoring Eifert.

In the top of the seventh the Wolves bullpen started playing with fire. Closer #Alex Allen# came into the game to get the save but ran into trouble. Allen retired the first batter, but then gave up back-to-back singles then hit the following batter. #Max Aeschilmann# then came into the game to try and clean up the mess. Aeschilmann got out of the jam getting the next two Knight's batters to ground out.

UWG pulled out the close win 3-1 over Lynn sweeping the double header this Saturday.

The final game of the series starts tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. The Wolves look to sweep the Fighting Knights and go 6-0 at home on the year.
