Wolves Lose to Blazers
Valdosta, GA – The UWG Wolves traveled to in-state rival Valdosta State Friday night to start their conference series with the Blazers. VSU pitching was too much for the Wolves as they won in convincing fashion 7-0.
The Blazers jumped on the Wolves early as their leadoff hitter, Matthew Fears, homered to start to the game and give Valdosta an early 1-0 lead. They continued to put up runs throughout the first four innings leading 6-0 after the fourth.

Clint Beland# who finished out the game pitching five and a third innings. Beland gave up five hits and three runs while striking out two. Black received the loss making him 3-2 on the year.

Jake Shirley# led the Wolves offensively with four out of the team's five total hits. #
Blake McLemore# would earn the fifth hit in the sixth inning for West Georgia.
West Georgia will conclude this series tomorrow with a doubleheader starting at 2pm.
