Carrollton, GA – The University of West Georgia played the final game of the series against Delta State University after losing both games yesterday. UWG played DSU tight early in today's game, but Delta pulled away after scoring three runs in the bottom of the fourth and winning the game with a final score of 13-4.

Wolves head coach Skip Fite went with #Seth McClure# to start today's game. McClure had a tough first inning as Delta scored a quick three runs off of three hits. Although, all three runs were unearned as the Wolves defense committed three errors in the inning.

UWG defense has a tough night as they added two more errors later in the game finishing the day with five.

The Wolves picked up their first run of the day in the top of the second inning when #John Mark Rhodes# drove in #TJ Eifert# after Eifert led off the inning with a double down the left field line.

UWG then tied the game at 3-3 in the top half of the third when the Wolves picked up two runs off back-to-back bases loaded walks.

However, Delta State took the lead for good in the bottom of the third inning as they scored three runs off of three hits and were on top 6-3.

DSU added one more in the fourth inning, and six runs in the eighth. In that eighth inning Sam Kidd hit a grand slam off of #Max Aeschlimann#.

The Wolves fell in game three to Delta State with a final score of 13-4. The Wolves remain above .500 with a 23-21 record and now move to 11-11 in conference play. UWG's next game is on the road in Dahlonega, GA against North Georgia College and State.
