Carrollton, GA - The University of West Georgia prepares for its last series of the season against the University of North Alabama. The games have been moved up this Saturday due to rain that is expected later in the day. The first game will be played at 11:00AM with the second to follow shortly after. The series will wrap up on Sunday with a 1:00PM game.

UNA at a Glance
The University of North Alabama Lions are having a solid season sitting at 26-18-1 overall on the season and 15-9 in conference play. Head Coach Mike Keehn has his UNA baseball team fourth in the Gulf South Conference this season as they prepare to take on UWG at Cole Field. The Lions have played very well at home with a 17-7-1 record, but their downfall has been games on the road as they have a 9-11 record.

UWG at a Glance
It is senior day on Saturday as UWG prepares for their final baseball series this weekend before the team prepares for the conference tournament. Wolves head coach Skip Fite will look to take advantage of the Lions unsuccessful record on the road this year. It also doesn't hurt that UWG has had major success at home with an 18-6 record. The Wolves are 23-21 on the year and are trying to finish above .500 on the year.

UNA Batters to Watch
The Lions have hit the ball pretty well this season hitting for a .314 batting average as a team. Junior outfielder Jake Ward is leading the team with a .409 average, and should be a player the Wolves pitchers should keep their eyes on. He has a knack for finding his way on base with 22 walks and also leads the team with a .497 on base percentage. Dylan Boston is the Lion's power threat in the lineup. Boston has a .552 slugging percentage with five home runs, 36 RBIs, and twenty doubles.

UWG Batters to Watch
The Wolves most dangerous hitter on the team is #Blake McLemore. McLemore is leading the team with a .351 batting average and is leading the team with 52 hits. He has also continues to be a threat on the base path with sixteen of nineteen stolen bases. #TJ Eifert# is also a threat to UNA pitching. Eifert has played well as of late hitting .323 for the team and leads the team with 27 RBIs.

UNA Pitchers to Watch
The Lions have talented starting pitching on their team. Arguably, Cade Medley has been one of the best starters for the team with a 6-1 record. Medley has pitched in seventy innings this year, which leads the team, and he has an incredible 57-to-15 strikeout to walk ratio. Michael Watkins is another starting pitcher who has pitched well this season and leads the team with a 2.48 ERA. Watkins has pitched in seven complete games this year. Chad Boughner will also likely start in one of the games this weekend. Boughner has a 3.39 ERA with batters only hitting .251 against him.

UWG Pitchers to Watch
#Jamie Sexton# will be attempting to pick up his ninth win of the season. Sexton has been a star in the GSC this year and dominant for the Wolves. He has an 8-3 record with a 1.72 ERA on the year. He also has six complete games to go along with a 67-to-24 strikeout to walk ratio. The Lions will also likely see #Cody Skinner# start on the mound. Skinner has been an important pitcher for the team, as he has stepped up with a lot of injuries, and has given them a chance to win games when on the hill. Although he is 3-5, he has a 34-to-11 strikeout to walk ratio. #Seth McClure# will probably make an appearance as a starter on the mound. McClure is 1-1, and opponents are hitting .318 against him.
