The Wolves come into this weekend's action with a record of 5-2 on the year and are coming off of a 2-1 week, which included a pair of victories at the Georgia College Tri-Way over the weekend. West Georgia took down undefeated Columbus State in the first match 3-1, then bested the host Bobcats in a thrilling 3-2 match.

Against the Bobcats, the Wolves used a .274 hitting percentage to take down a feisty first-year team on their home court. West Georgia was down 14-11 in the final set, giving Georgia College three set points before tying the set at 14-14. It was a see-saw battle for the remainder of the match, with UWG winning 21-19.

The Wolves opened the season in their most recent home matches, going 3-1 at the 2013 UWG Invitational. UWG took down King, Notre Dame College and Georgia College while falling to Malone. The other loss of the season came last Tuesday on the road at Montevallo.

Senior Emily Reul was the first hitter in the Gulf South Conference this season to reach 100 kills on the year. She currently has 107 kills this season and is leading the conference with 3.69 per set.

Junior setter Amanda Miller also leads the GSC in assists, averaging 10.24 per set, while senior libero Melissa Holt is first in the conference in digs with 4.83 per set. Record Book Watch
Senior libero Melissa Holt moved into second place on the all-time list in the digs category this past week. She now has 1,096 career digs, 318 shy of the school record of 1,414, held by Stephanie Singleton.

Outside hitter Reul has 1,123 kills in her career and is currently seventh in the all-time record book for kills. She needs 21 kills to move into sixth place all-time in the kills category.

Reul is also knocking on the door in two other categories, including digs and total attacks. In digs, she currently has 969 and is 31 digs short of becoming the sixth player all-time to eclipse 1,000 digs for her career. She also has 3,295 total attacks, good for sixth all-time.

With 14 more assists, junior setter Amanda Miller will become just the fourth setter in school history with 2,000 assists in a career. She currently has 1,986 career assists and is 1,090 assists away from Kristy Dermid's 19-year old school record of 3,076.
