Carrollton, GA - After more than a week of rest, the University of West Georgia soccer team returns to the pitch on Tuesday as the Wolves host Armstrong State in non-conference action at 5:00 p.m. from University Field.
This is the fourth meeting between the Wolves and Pirates with Armstrong State winning each of the previous three meetings.
The Wolves enter Tuesday's game fresh off a week of rest. West Georgia's last action was Sunday, October 4 as they fell on the road at North Alabama by a final score of 2-0.
Three Wolves are currently tied for the team lead with three goals.
Cortney Emmert,
Susana Abundiz, and
Alexis Lewis each have scored three goals through the first 11 games of the season. Emmert, however leads in total points as she has three assists, which also leads the team.
Armstrong State enters the game as one of the top teams in the Peach Belt are just outside the top-25 with a record of 6-3-2. Their last action was Saturday, a 3-0 win over Young Harris.
The Wolves and Pirates are set to kickoff at 5:00 p.m. in Carrollton. Fans are encouraged to donate to the Week of Wishes at Tuesday's game as UWG representatives will be on hand, accepting donations that will be given to the Make a Wish Foundation.
