Carrollton, GA - After heavy rain hit the Birmingham area last night, todays baseball game against Miles has been canceled and Head Coach
Skip Fite has announced the game will not be played at a later date. Another round of storms is forecast for later today and Rickwood Field has been deemed unfit for play after last nights rain showers.
The two teams met on April 8th in Carrollton as the Wolves prevailed against the Golden Bears 12-1. In the game,
Colton Duttweiler picked up his third win of the season after pitching five strong innings and striking out six batters. At the plate,
Dalton Rogers blasted his third homerun of the year and also led the team with four RBI.
Artemis Kadkhodaian had a solid day with four of the teams ten hits while also scoring a run.
After todays cancelation, the UWG Baseball team will now have an extra day to get ready for this weekends crucial three game series against Conference opponent Christian Brothers, starting with a double header at Cole Field on Saturday, April 18th with first pitch scheduled for 2:00pm.
