Carrollton, GA - The University of West Georgia soccer team plays its fourth straight road game on Friday evening as the Wolves try to get back in the win column against the Southern Wesleyan Warriors this evening at 6:00 p.m. in Central, SC.
The Wolves have dropped two straight road games after opening the season with a 1-0 win over Emmanuel. UWG will need more of that type of defense tonight s they take on SWU. The Warriors are currently 1-1 after a 1-0 win last night over Columbia International. They opened the season with a 7-1 loss to Anderson.
UWG's goals thus far have come from junior transfer
Susana Abundiz and senior captain
Ashlynn Deese. Abundiz scored the game winner in the season opener, while Deese's goal brought the Wolves within one goal after trailing 2-0 to Clayton State on Tuesday night.
This marks the first meeting between the Wolves and Warriors, who are making the transition into Division II. The Warriors are set to be members of the Conference Carolinas. UWG is currently 1-1 this season against tems from the Conference Carolinas.
