Carrollton, GA - The University of West Georgia baseball team looks to continue their winning ways as they welcome the Stillman College Tigers to Cole Field for a two-game series. The Wolves have started the season with four straight wins, including a three-game sweep of Pfeiffer University last weekend.
Wolves Last Weekend
UWG used two one-run wins on Saturday and a 12-0 win on Sunday against the Pfeiffer Falcons to move to 4-0 early in the season. The first game of the weekend was an exciting one as the Wolves won in walk off fashion.
Dalton Rogers knocked in
Artemis Kadkhodaian to win the game 4-3.
Game two was another close game between the Wolves and the Falcons.
Caleb Lopes, who had two hits, fueled the Wolves in game two.
Drew Eady also had a hit and an RBI for West Georgia in game two.
Josh Morgan picked up the win for the Wolves, throwing 1.1 innings of hitless baseball.
Joe Vonderschmidt threw 2.2 innings in the game, giving up only one hit and no runs in the process.
Game three was an offensive explosion for West Georgia, as they tallied twelve runs on eighteen hits.
Keith Buckhault had two hits and three RBIs in the game.

Chase Waters, and
Caleb Lopes each had three hits for West Georgia in game three. Also,
Drew Eady drove in three runs on two hits. Starting pitcher
Brandon Goldsmith threw six innings, giving up no runs on two hits.
Wolves Offensive Explosion
West Georgia is currently second in the Gulf South Conference with a team batting average of .364. They are also second in hits with 48 and third in runs scored with 37.
Artemis Kadkhodaian is tied for the lead in doubles in the conference with four, followed by teammate
Caleb Lopes who has three. Lopes is also in ninth in the conference with a .533 BA. Senior
Tyler Hutch is tied for second in the GSC with two home runs on the year.

The first game of the series takes place this Saturday, February 13 at Cole Field. First pitch is set for 2:00 PM EST. Game two is set for Sunday, February 14 at 2:00 PM EST.
