Carrollton, GA - The University of West Georgia baseball team is set to welcome the Paine Tigers to Cole Field for midweek baseball action. The Wolves look to get a win as they prepare for a big GSC series against the Delta State Statesmen. The Wolves are 11-5 on the season with a 4-5 record in the Gulf South Conference.

Wolves Last Weekend
West Georgia is coming off of a weekend where they took two out of three games from the Lee University Flames in Cleveland, TN. The first game ended at 8-5 in the Wolves favor. Tyler Hutch hit his fifth homerun in the game, while Garrett Hayes went 3-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Artemis kadkhodaian also had two hits, including a homerun, with two RBIs and two runs scored. Josh Morgan got the win, pitching three scoreless innings and giving up only one hit.

Game two was very closely contested as it ended in a 2-1 victory for West Georgia. Ben Utley had two hits in three at-bats with a run scored. Garrett Hayes had a hit and an RBI, while Dalton Rogers had two hits with an RBI. Tritt Fennell got his second win of the season pitching three innings of scoreless baseball. He gave up only one hit and struck out six. Tyler Gunnin came in the last inning with runners on second and third with no outs, but he got out of the inning without giving up a run.

Game three was a back and forth affair that ended with the Wolves on the wrong end of a 10-7 score. Garrett Hayes was 4-5 on the day with a run scored and an RBI. Dalton Rogers had two hits with a run scored and an RBI as well. Caleb Lopes hit his third homerun of the year and had two RBIs. Eight Wolves had hits in the game, but it wasn't enough as Lee hit a walk off homerun to end the game.
