Carrollton, GA - The West Georgia Wolves baseball team looks to extend its win streak to ten as they host the Georgia College Bobcats in a midweek game at Cole Field. The Wolves (26-10, 15-9 Gulf South Conference currently hold the sixth spot in the GSC, giving them a spot in the conference tournament.
Wolves on a Roll
West Georgia has won their last nine games, including six straight Gulf South Conference matchups. The latest victories were three impressive wins over the Christian Brothers Buccaneers in Memphis, TN. With those nine straight wins, the Wolves have found themselvesd ranked eighth in the latest NCBWA South Region Rankings.
Game one of the series ended with West Georgia coming out on top with a 14-0 score in seven innings.
Brandon Goldsmith moved to 7-0 with the win. He pitched all seven innings, giving up no runs while scattering five hits.
Garrett Hayes led the offense, going 2-5 with two runs and four RBI.
Ben Utley added two hits, two runs, and three RBI.
Tyler Hutch had two RBI and four runs scored.
In game two, the offense was just as prolific in a 15-3 game two win. West Georgia racked up 17 hits in the game.
Cade Marlowe and
Caleb Lopes each had three hits, two runs scored, and an RBI.
Dalton Rogers had a hit, three runs scored, and four RBI.

Drew Eady, and
Artemis Kadkhodaian each had a homerun in the game.
Matthew Norton moved to 4-1 on the year, giving up only two runs over six innings.
Game three was another double-digit win as the Wolves came out on top 12-2.
Garrett Hayes had a monster game as he had two doubles, a homerun, and six RBI in the game.
Jake Wilkinson was 2-2 as a pinch hitter with two RBI.
Dalton Rogers was also 2-2 with two runs scored.
Turner Edwards got the win, throwing 2.2 innings of scoreless baseball in relief.
Georgia College at a Glance
The Bobcats are 21-15 so far on the season with a 10-11 record in the Peach Belt. That puts them at eighth in their conference standings. Georgia College has a team batting average of .334. Dylan Cook leads the team with a .420 BA, eleven homeruns, and 46 RBI. The Bobcats have a team ERA of 5.62 on the year. Cameron Busby is 6-1 with a 3.52 ERA. Tom Carty is in his ninth season as the head coach at Georgia College.
