Carrollton, GA - The University of West Georgia baseball squad looks to end the regular season on a high note as they welcome the Union University Bulldogs to Cole Field. The Wolves (34-12, 19-11 Gulf South Conference) are currently sixth in the conference rankings and hold the final spot in the GSC tournament. UWG has won seventeen of their last nineteen games, including a midweek win over Georgia Southwestern on Tuesday.
Wolves Last Win
West Georgia is coming off an impressive 9-0 win over the Georgia Southwestern Hurricanes on Tuesday evening at Cole Field.
TJ Watson moved to 3-2 on the year as he picked up the win in the matchup. He pitched five innings, giving up no runs on two hits while striking out three.

Josh Morgan,
Ethan Hunter, and
Mitchell Mannino each threw one scoreless inning for the Wolves.
The Wolves picked up sixteen hits in the game, scoring nine runs in the process. The Wolves picked up two runs in the first inning. The first run came on a homerun by
Artemis Kadkhodaian on the first pitch of the game. Later in the inning
Cade Marlowe scored on a wild pitch to make it a 2-0 score.
UWG added a single run in second inning on a
Cade Marlowe RBI single. They then added a run in the third on a
Garrett Hayes solo homerun to left-center field. It was Hayes's sixth homerun of the season.
UWG added to their lead in the fifth inning, as
Tyler Hutch drove in
Dalton Rogers on a single.
Garrett Hayes then doubled, allowing Hutch to score. The final three runs of the night came in the bottom of the seventh.
Caleb Lopes hit a two-run homerun and
Chase Waters singled to give the Wolves the 9-0 win.

The Bulldogs are 19-25 on the season with an 11-18 record in conference play. Union has a team batting average of .258, led by Tyler Mauzy with a .319 BA. Dylan Moore leads the Bulldogs with 31 RBI and nine doubles. Union has a team ERA of 5.29 on the season. Teddy Christie is 4-5 with a 3.48 ERA. He has 78 strikeouts on the year. Lee Driggers is in his second season as the head coach of the Bulldogs.
