CARROLLTON, Ga. - 2016 was a big year in NCAA football attendance with a total of 49,315,857. The association saw a huge jump in total attendance, increasing by 257,891 from the previous season. Division II football attributes 3.217 million to this number with 170 teams and 930 total games.
The West Georgia Wolves are third in the Gulf South Conference in average attendance and 19th in the NCAA Division II with an average of 6,309 spectators per game. The GSC ranked fourth in the division out of all other conferences. Fellow league members West Florida and North Alabama were also ranked in the top 30 in Division II average attendance.
