CARROLLTON, Ga. – Ryan Bailey wrapped up a busy summer recruiting session by delivering a deep class of talent to come run with The Pack.
The University of West Georgia women's track and field head coach recently announced the signings of 15 student-athletes as additions to the program for the 2021-22 season.
"These girls are going to do a lot to add to our depth as a team," Bailey said. "All of these girls are additions I am excited about."
The list of signees includes: Dasanti Minter (Schley County HS), Chioma Uwaomah (River Ridge HS), Qiana Watson (Cedartown HS), Ama Ahovi (Lithia Springs HS), Stephanie Beltran (Dacula HS), Alexa Quarles (Model HS/Emmanuel College), Joycelyn Tifrea (Mill Creek HS), Nichole Richards (Chattahoochee HS), Ameah Richardson (Grady HS), Madelyn Hull (Central HS), Amani Achampong (Mount Zion-Jonesboro HS) and Shamiyah Perry (Woodland HS) from the Peach State.
Joining the program from out of state are Lexi Walton (Hoover HS) and Haley Trammel (Wadley HS) from Alabama and
Coley Branum (Norwalk HS) out of Ohio.
Along with competing in track and field, Branum, Ahovi, Beltran, Quarles and Tifrea will also suit up for the UWG women's cross country team this fall.
The Wolves open the cross country campaign on Friday, Sept. 3, at the Jacksonville State Invitational.
