Walker Wins ASUN Freshman of the Week

CARROLLTON, Ga.- Following a pair of top-five finishes in her very first invitational as a Wolf, Kellie Walker was voted ASUN Women's Indoor Track and Field Freshman of the Week.

At the Commonwealth Opener this past weekend (Dec. 6), Walker's time of 25.66 in the 200m led the Pack and tied her for third overall out of 25 competitors.

In her other race, the 60m, the Covington, Georgia native crossed the line in fifth place with a time of 7.77,

Despite not taking first overall, Walker was the fastest freshman in both events. Remarkably, there was only one other freshman to finish in the top-ten in either race.

Walker and the Wolves enjoy the holiday break before returning to the action on January 17 to race in the Samford Invite.
