Track & Field Heads to Tryon Ahead of ASUN Championships

CARROLLTON, Ga.- The UWG women's track and field team travels to Tryon, North Carolina for the Tryon Mid-Winter Collegiate Invitational, the final meet before the ASUN Indoor Championships.

Sprints & Hurdles 
UWG 60m record holder Campbell Brown leads the sprint group with a time of 7.62, followed closely by 200m program record holder Kellie Walker at 7.66. Lia Long enters at 8.11, Genesis Price at 8.20, and Jordan Kelly at 8.32 to round out the 60m group. In the 200m, Brown again sets the pace with a mark of 24.72 while Walker follows at 24.99 and Ty Daniels brings in a 25.00 entry. Chloe Leblanc adds depth with a time of 25.50, with Long at 26.50 and Price at 26.88. UWG record holder Ty Daniels will solely represent the Wolves in the 400m and enters with an opening mark of 55.18. Over the hurdles, Kierra McKenna leads the Wolves in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.33, while Valeyna Renteria-Silva follows at 9.58.

Distance 

Reatta Danhof enters the mile after delivering a historic performance, running 5:07.37 to destroy her recently set UWG record and establish herself as one of the program's premier distance runners. Haley Hartman joins her in the event with a mark of 6:06.71. In the 800m, Chloe Leblanc leads the field with a time of 2:20 and also holds the UWG record in the 600m, followed by Kathrin Maurer at 2:30, Linda Rivero at 2:31.11, Jordan Jarnot at 2:33.04, Linda Vasquez at 2:39, and Camille Moses at 2:43. Rivero turned in a historic performance in the Wolves last meet with a time of 2:27.03, breaking Joycelyn Tifrea's program record that had stood since 2022. Catherine Greer enters the 3000m with a mark of 11:03.91, Laney Pierce follows at 11:32.08, and Madeline Gaskin adds a 12:00 mark. Maurer will also compete in the 5000m with a time of 18:45.80.

Jumps, Vaults, & Throws 

Amaya Hammel leads the high jump group after clearing 1.46m, with Bella Jones following at 1.45m. UWG pole vault record holder Carleigh Bynum sets the tone with a mark of 3.75m, while Mallory Peavey adds a 3.26m mark. In the long jump, Kierra McKenna brings in a 4.78m leap and Genesis Price follows at 4.43m. The triple jump is represented by Alyvia Matthews at 11.45m and Jordan Kelly at 11.16m. Day Atkins leads the shot put with a throw of 13.55m, followed by Dru Green at 12.72m, Leilah Mathieu at 10.15m, and Ariana Hale at 8.76m. Green also leads the weight throw after reaching 16.83m, with Atkins at 16.21m and Kyla Ford at 16.00m. Hale adds an 11.49m mark while Mathieu rounds out the group at 10.25m.

Relays

UWG brings a strong 4x400 relay squad that enters with an entry time of 3:54.40 behind a rotation of Daniels, Leblanc, Mckenna, Rivero, and Moses. The 4x800 relay carries a 10:45 entry with Jarnot, Hartman, Moses, Vasquez, Gaskin, Pierce, Greer, and Donaldson on the team.  In the distance medley relay, the Wolves enter with a 12:47.65 mark behind a lineup featuring McQueen, Leblanc, Rivero, Danhof, Daniels, Gaskin, and Jarnot.
