Track & Field Heads to UAB Invitational

CARROLLTON, Ga.- The Wolves head to Birmingham, Alabama on February 7 to compete in the UAB Invitational. Fans can keep track of the action live through the live results link attached above. UWG continues the indoor season with the ASUN indoor championship quickly approaching. 

Sprints & Hurdles
Kellie Walker leads the Wolves in both the 60m and 200m with entering marks of 7.66 and 24.99, holding the UWG record in the 200m at 24.99. She is joined in the 60m by Lia Long at 8.11 and Genesis Price at 8.20, while Chloe Leblanc rounds out the rotation in the 200m with a mark of 26.71.

Ty Daniel headlines the 400m group with a strong entry time of 55.18, followed by Elise Duncanson at 58.55 and Jaeva Ridley at 59.82. Chloe Leblanc will be the only Wolf participating in the 600m with a mark of 1:40.40. In the hurdles, Kierra McKenna leads UWG with an entering 60m hurdle mark of 9.33. She is joined by Empress Malone at 9.52 and Valeyna Renteria-Silva at 9.58.

Distance
Reatta Danhof owns the UWG record in the mile with a time of 5:19.26 and enters the meet with a 5:15 entry time, leading a strong mile group. Kristal McQueen adds depth with a converted 5:19.92 entry mark of her own, while Laney Pierce enters at 5:44.74.

In the 800m, Jordan Jarnot leads the Wolves with a 2:33.04 mark, closely followed by Linda Vasquez at 2:35.63. The longer distance events are anchored by Kathrin Maurer, who enters the 3000m at 10:29.71, alongside Madeline Gaskin at 11:42.64, giving UWG a strong presence in the endurance races.

Jumps & throws
In the high jump, Amaya Hammel enters at 1.46m and Bella Jones follows closely at 1.45m. The pole vault is led by Carleigh Bynum at 3.75m and Mallory Peavey at 3.18m. The long jump features Kierra McKenna at 4.78m and Genesis Price at 4.43m, while Jordan Kelly leads the triple jump at 11.16m with Alyvia Matthews entering at 11.09m. In the throws, Day Atkins headlines both events with a shot put mark of 13.55m and a weight throw mark of 16.21m. Dru Green adds depth with a 12.72m mark in the shot put and a leading 16.83m in the weight throw. 

Relays
The Wolves bring two 4x400 squads to Birmingham. Squad A features Elise Duncanson, Chloe Leblanc, Ty Daniel, and Jaeva Ridley with an entering time of 3:54.40. Squad B matches that time at 3:54.40 and includes Reatta Danhof, Linda Rivero, Camille Moses, Elise Duncanson, Linda Vasquez, Jordan Jarnot, and Laney Pierce.

The Wolves will be led by Head Coach Ryan Bailey, along with sprints, jumps, and hurdles coach Shanicka Dyson-Woodman, pole vault coach Shannon Riley, throws coach Robert Brown, and graduate assistants Phelani Maduwa and Olivia Fulford
