CARROLLTON, Ga. – Gulf South Conference baseball and softball action returns to the University of West Georgia campus this weekend, and with the weather forecast, it will return a day earlier than originally scheduled.
 
Both baseball and softball have announced today a shift to the weekend schedule, moving both series to a single game on Friday and a doubleheader on Saturday.
 
Baseball will begin the series with a 5:30 p.m. single game on Friday night at Cole Field. Saturday's schedule remains a 1 p.m. doubleheader for the Wolves and Warhawks.
 
For UWG Softball, their home opener is now set for Friday at 5:00 p.m. from University Field. The series will conclude with a Saturday doubleheader that will begin with a 1 p.m. first pitch.
