CARROLLTON, Ga. - As the 2024 tennis season kicks off next week, the University of West Georgia's tennis team is gearing up for an exhilarating journey on the court. With six familiar faces and five promising newcomers, this season promises to be one of thrills, energy, and fierce competition.

Making a strong entrance in line one singles is freshman
Lea von Kozierowski The native of Germany has a potent playing style with a powerful forehand, which is sure to keep opponents on their toes.

Sophie Mnich returns after 10 singles victories last season and will retain her spot in the top lineup.Â

Battling in the top three on the lineup,
Andrea Medel joins the team with a reputation for passion and hard work. Medel is a graduate transfer that played at Shorter a season ago.

Hailing from Mexico, fellow graduate transfer
Rebeca Lopez will lock in the number four spot with her experience in the college atmosphere. Lopez transferred from Middle Georgia and has shown consistency and strategic plays thus far in practice.

Elle Jones wis back and looking to make an impact like she did as a freshman two seasons ago.

Callie Stanfield is coming off a strong 2023 season with nine wins in singles play and contributed to four conference victories.

The Wolves will open their 2024 season with a doubleheader at home on February 5th. They will face Point University, followed by Wallace State University.
