ALBANY, Ga - The UWG men's track and field team wrapped up the Alice Coachman Invitational at Albany State University.
The Wolves finished with a score of 45Â points which tied for fifth.Â
SPRINTSÂ
Jeremiah Giddens was in the top-10 for West Georgia in the 100m, finishing with a time of 10.74. Corey Rooks was next, finishing with a time of 11.66 while Richard Griffin had a time of 12.56.
Giddens also competed in the 200m, finishing with a time of 22.10.
In the Men's 400m, Tim Feezor finished with a time of 55.15.
DISTANCE
There were four Wolves that competed in the men's 800m. Anthony Garcia placed seventh with a time of 2:03.63, while Joshua Sleight was next for UWG with a time of 2:05.44. Mehari Van der Riet had a time of 2:05.47, and Derek Gallardo had a time of 2:11.48.
Five Wolves competed in the Men's 1500m. Van der Riet, Sleight, and Garcia placed fifth through seventh, respectively. Gallardo was next for West Georgia as he had a time of 4:15.65. Eduardo Ortiz finished with a time of 4:26.18.
In the Men's 3000m Steeple, Connor Capolupo had a time of 10:54.56, which placed third.
In the Men's 5000m, Gabriel Wyre placed second with a time of 16:46.58. Slade Smith was next with a time of 18:11.70.
JUMPS
There were two Wolves that competed in the Men's Long Jump. Corey Rooks was sixth with a 6.65m jump, Richard Griffin had a 5.74m jump.
Camron Donatlan placed second in the Men's High Jump with a mark of 2.06m hitting 6'11.
In the Long Jump, Corey Rooks placed sixth with a 6.65m jump, Richard Griffin finished with a 5.74m jump.
THROWS
In the Men's Javelin Throw, Joshua Still had a 34.49m throw. Hans Urizar was next with a 30.04m throw while Clay Chilcutt finished with a 27.04m throw.Â
West Georgia is back in action on Friday, April 19th-20th at the Georgia Tech Invitational.Â
