ALBANY, Ga. - The University of West Georgia Women's Track and Field Team wrapped up the Alice Coachman Invitational at Albany State University .
It was a good day for UWG as they scored 194 points which was second place.
JUMPS AND VAULT
Carleigh Bynum had a day in the Pole Vault as she placed first with a clearance of 3.51m. Emily Jones was next placing third with a clearance of 2.90m. Elizabeth Osborne had a clearance of 2.75m.
Olivia Fulford placed second in the Women's High Jump with a mark of 1.59m. Alexis Doll and Haley Trammell tied for seventh with a mark of 1.44m. Amaya Hamel as well had a mark of 1.44m placing tenth.
T'oni Birden once again places first in the Long Jump with a 6.07m jump. Taylor Hampton placed second with a 5.89m jump. Dasani Minter was in the top five, as she placed fifth with a mark of 5.42m. Alexis Doll was next with a mark of 4.84m.
THROWS
Dru Green placed second in the Hammer throw with a 45.73m throw. Madeline Campbell had a 39.86m throw. Jaycee Woods was next with a 38.01m throw, and Kyla Ford had a 36.11m throw.
There were three Wolves that competed in the Women's Shot Put. Kyla Ford placed first overall with a 12.15m throw. Dru Green placed fourth with a 11.33m throw. Nicole Richards was next with a 10.35m throw.
Green also competed in the Discus throw placing third with a 38.95m throw. Kyla Ford had a 29.22m throw, Nicole Richards had a 27.04m throw, and Chioma Uwaomah finished with a 20.62m throw.
In the Javelin Throw, Jaycee Woods placed first with a 34.59m throw. Brooklyn Kierbow was next, as she placed second with a 31.84m throw. Trammell finished with a 27.45m throw, and Doll had a 21.61m throw.
SPRINTS & HURDLES
In the 100m relay, Campbell Brown had a time of 12.03 which placed second, and Kira Montefusco was right after her with a time of 12.04 which placed third. Haley Trammel had a time of 12.63, T'oni Birden finished with a time of 12.81m, and Olivia Fulford was right after her with a time of 12.88. Valeyna- Renteria Silva, Maniyah THomas, and Chioma Uwaomah finished 14th-16th respectively.
Renteria- Silva also competed in the 100m hurdles placing fourth with a time of 15.38, Fulford finished with the same time placing fifth. Alexis Doll was next with a time of 15.57, Uwaomah had a time of 15.61. Elizabeth Osborne was next with a time of 17.28
In the 200 meter, Kira Montefusco was the lone representative in the competition, and had a time of 25.36.
Chloe LeBlanc placed second in the Women's 400m with a time of 58.97.
DISTANCE
In the 800m, Linda Vasquez placed second with a time of 2:23.43, Jordan Jarnot was next with a time of 2:59.07
Jocelyn Tifrea placed fifth in the Women's 1500m with a time of 5:14.72. Kathrin Maurer was right behind 5:14.88. Catherine Greer had a time of 5:17.94, Stephanie Beltran had a time of 5:54.51, and Madeline Gaskin had a time of 7:09.63.
Kathrin Maurer placed first in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 12:26.39. Laney Pierce and Jordan Jarnot were next placing fifth and sixth respectively.
The Wolves placed first in the 4x100. The competitors were Taylor Hampton, Campbell Brown, Dasnai Minter, and Kira Montefusco.
West Georgia is back in action on Friday, April 19th-20th at the Georgia Tech Invitational.
