CARROLLTON, Ga.- The University of West Georgia track & field programs placed nine student-athletes on the 2026 ASUN All-Academic Team, recognizing Wolves who excelled both in competition and in the classroom throughout the academic year.
On the men's side,
Kellen Andrews highlighted the selections with a 3.95 GPA in Computer Science. Andrews capped off the outdoor season by scoring 4,808 points in the decathlon at the ASUN Outdoor Championships, recording personal bests in the 1500m, javelin throw, and 110m hurdles.
Ethan Butler-Paige earned the honor with a 3.79 GPA while majoring in Music. Butler-Paige led UWG in the javelin at the ASUN Outdoor Championships with a personal-best throw of 43.41m.
Trey Campbell secured a spot on the team with a 3.54 GPA in Health & Community Wellness. Campbell qualified for the 200m finals at the outdoor championships with a time of 21.67 and competed on both the 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams that earned medals.
Connor McLain posted a 3.96 GPA in Nursing and finished third in the pole vault at the ASUN Outdoor Championships with a clearance of 4.67m.
Shea Thiewes rounded out the men's selections with a 3.88 GPA in Interdisciplinary Studies. Thiewes secured a top-five finish in the pole vault at the conference championships with a mark of 4.37m.
For the women,
Carleigh Bynum earned ASUN All-Academic honors with a 3.89 GPA in Health & Community Wellness. Bynum continued her standout season by winning the ASUN Outdoor Championship in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.78m and currently holds the UWG school record in the event.
Dru Green was recognized with a 3.51 GPA in Speech Pathology. Green recorded a personal best in the hammer throw at the conference championships with a mark of 49.02m and narrowly missed the podium in the discus with a throw of 45.10m.
Chloe Leblanc earned a spot on the team with a 3.55 GPA in Management. Leblanc continued her record-breaking season by winning gold in the 400m hurdles at the outdoor championships with a school-record and personal-best time of 58.86. She also competed on the 4x400m relay team that broke the school record and earned a bronze medal.
Mallory Peavey collected the honor with a 3.57 GPA in Biology. Peavey competed in the pole vault at the ASUN Outdoor Championships and cleared 3.03m.
The Wolves' selections highlight the continued excellence of UWG track & field both athletically and academically during the program's second year of Division I competition.
