Thursday Night Soccer in the City of Dreams

10/7/2026 12:55:00 PM

CARROLLTON, Ga.- The University of West Georgia women's soccer (0-8-2, 0-3 UAC) team returns to the City of Dreams on Thursday, Oct. 8, welcoming Little Rock (2-5-3, 0-1-2 UAC) for a United Athletic Conference (UAC) matchup at University Soccer Field. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. as the Wolves look to secure their first conference victory of the season.

Both teams are searching for their first UAC victory of the season, with Little Rock currently sitting last in the UAC's Red Division and UWG sitting last in the Blue Division.

The Wolves have been solid defensively throughout the season, leading the UAC with 81 saves and ranking second in the conference with a .823 save percentage. Emily Sanabria has been a major reason for that success, ranking first in the conference with 71 saves and 7.89 saves per match while sitting second with a .826 save percentage. Kaialani Wise has also provided consistency for the Wolves, playing every minute of every match this season.

While UWG remains winless, the team has remained competitive throughout the season, with Sanabria's 71 saves helping anchor a defense that has allowed 17 goals. However, seven of those goals have come during the final 10 minutes of matches, an area the Wolves will look to improve upon as they continue their UAC schedule.

Little Rock enters the matchup following a 3-3 draw against Tarleton State on Sunday. The Trojans battled back from a 3-2 deficit late in the match, with Laney Palmer finding the back of the net in the 84th minute to secure the draw. Maggie Turner leads Little Rock with three goals this season, while Maria Schuller has added two goals. Schuller was selected as the UAC Preseason Offensive Player of the Year and will be one of the players to watch for the Trojans on Thursday.

Little Rock has scored 10 goals this season but has allowed 28, with its 2.8 goals allowed per game ranking as the highest mark in the UAC. Despite their offensive struggles, Candice Kilderry has helped lead Little Rock's attack, ranking second in the UAC with five assists this season.

Noemi Casique has merged as an offensive leader for UWG, scoring her second goal of the season in Sunday's matchup against Austin Peay. Casique's two goals lead the Wolves this season.

The Wolves enter Thursday's match looking to turn their competitive performances into their first conference victory of the season. UWG held a narrow 14-13 disadvantage in shots against Austin Peay and controlled 55 percent of possession before ultimately falling 3-1.

The Wolves return to the City of Dreams on Thursday, Oct. 8, for their UAC matchup against Little Rock. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at University Soccer Field.
