CARROLLTON, Ga. - Former West Georgia baseball player, Brendan Parks '25, has signed to play with the Baltimore Orioles in the latest round of Major League pickups.

Parks spent the 2024 and 2025 seasons serving as the Wolves' go-to closer. Pitching in 31 games during this stretch, the Atlanta native posted a 4.43 ERA across 69 innings, a 5-6 record with five saves and totaled 88 strikeouts. In his senior season (2025), Parks closed out his college career averaging a stellar 13.3 strikeouts per nine innings pitched.

After graduating, Parks went undrafted, but spent the 2025 summer pitching for the Trenton Thunder in the MLB Draft League.

Parks is the first UWG player to sign with a MLB team since the Wolves elevated to Division I.
