Carrollton, GA - For the first time this season, the UWG Baseball team will head out on the road to play the Stillman Tigers. The game will be on Tuesday, February 10th at 3pm in Tuscaloosa,AL. The Wolves are coming off a successful homestand in which they compiled a record of 5-1 and had two shutouts in the last three games against Montevallo.

The UWG pitching staff has been very fortunate this season as they have had early run support all season long. The Wolves have already scored 20 runs in the first two innings of ballgames this season. The team is 3-1 after scoring first, and they are 5-0 after leading in the second inning. The starters have taken advantage of the early runs and they have only allowed four earned runs in 30.2 innings of work.

Tyler Hutch has started the season on a tear from the leadoff spot. He leads the team scoring 12 runs in the first six games and also has an ob% of .704%. Another key person in the lineup is Artemis Kadkhodaian who is hitting .375 on the season and is second on the team in runs scored, 8, behind Hutch. The two players combine have scored 20 runs which is almost half of the runs scored for the season and they have stolen seven bases.

The Wolves defense has been spectacular early in the season making some great plays and not giving the opposing team unearned runs. The team has only made four errors and Troy Brown and Kadkodaian have led the team by turning six double plays opposed to their opponets making 11 errors and only turning two double plays.

Stillman at a Glance
The Tigers have started the season slow by going 1-5 in their first six games of the season. They were swept by Nova Southeastern University to start the season then traveled to Florence to take on North Alabama were they lost two of three. Stillman will host their first on game on Tuesday when the host UWG. Leading Stillman in hitting is outfielder Nick Vitale who has a .577 batting average with one homerun and two RBI.
