Carrollton, GA - The West Georgia baseball team will begin a crucial three-game series this weekend when they host Christian Brothers, starting with a doubleheader on Friday, April 17th, starting at 1:00pm. The final game of the series is set for Saturday, which is also Senior Day, with the first pitch scheduled for 1:00pm, and Senior Day ceremonies to take place before the start of the game.
In the last home series of the season, the Wolves will take on Christian Brothers in what will be one of the most important series of the year for the team.The Wolves have a chance to rise in the Conference standings as the season is winding down, and they own a tie breaker over third-place West Florida, which could prove to loom large as seedings are determined for the Gulf South Conference tournamennt..

After the tough weekend in Valdosta, the Wolves are now in fourth place in the Gulf South Conference entering this weekend's series against Christian Brothers. Leading the Conference is West Alabama, a team currently on an 18-game winning streak. Alabama Huntsville sits in second in the GSC followed by West Florida and West Georgia. The Wolves have six conference games remaining with three against Christian Brothers and three against Union. The two teams have combined for only nine Conference wins for the season.
