BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The University of West Georgia's women's track and field team jump started the 2025 spring season today taking on the Samford Multis at the Birmingham CrossPlex. 

Representing the Wolves in Alabama was Olivia Fulford and Alexis Doll. 

The pair of athletes competed in five events: the 60-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump and the 800-meters. 

Alexis Doll finished the indoor pentathlon in 13th place with a personal-best 2,906 points. Olivia Fulford placed at 17th with 2,697 points, eight shy from her personal-best.

Hailing from Clermont, Florida, Doll found most of her success in the 60-meter hurdles. The senior finished in ninth after running a lightning fast 9.59. In the high jump, she tied for 13th with a 1.46 meter mark. Doll secured 20th place in the shot put with a throw of 7.59 meters. Then, in the long jump, she recorded an 11th-place finish after flying 5.00 meters. Concluding the day, the Florida native came in at 10th in the 800-meters with a time of 2:41.

Fulford, a senior from Pensacola, Florida, also made her best finish of the day in the 60-meter hurdles, placing in 10th with a quick time of 9.61. Moving to the high jump, the senior leaped 1.49 meters to place in 11th. In the shot put, Fulford's throw went a distance of 7.59 meters, ranking her 20th in the field in this event. In one of the final events of the day, the competitor came in 19th in the long jump with a 4.51 meter hop. Closing out the indoor pentathlon with the 800-meter, Fulford came across the finish line in 17th with a time of 2:46:89.
