Wolves Conclude ECU Intercollegiate in 10th Place

GREENVILLE, NC - The UWG men's golf team wrapped up play at the ECU Intercollegiate on Tuesday, finishing round two with a 305 before firing a second consecutive round of 305 in the final round.

Four of the five Wolves shot the same score on Tuesday with Tyler Nesci's 74 leading the way as the rest of the lineup shot a five-over 77. In Nesci's round, he started three-over through his first five holes before playing the final 13 holes at one-under including making a birdie on his 54th hole of the tournament.

The final round 77 from freshman Thomas Romani secured the best finish by a Wolf in the event as Romani took 28th place individually. He was two shots clear of fellow freshman Milton Wallin whose 77 put him in 32nd place. Nesci was two shots behind Wallin for the event, taking 37th.

Luke Able's 77 featured a team-high three birdies on Tuesday, putting him in 47th place individually.

After Monday struggles, Max Winnersjo finished with a 77 and took 91st place.

As a team, UWG finished with a 54-hole total of 912 which was good for 10th place and just two shots behind fellow ASUN member Bellarmine and three shots behind another ASUN foe, Queens.

UCF fired a final round four-over to claim the team title at eight-over for the tournament.

West Georgia has just one tournament remaining before their inaugural ASUN Championships as the Wolves will compete in the Golfweek Spring Invite in Pawley's Island, SC on March 31-April 2.
