EATONTON, Ga. – The UWG men's golf team shot a second round 305 on Saturday at Great Waters on Reynolds Lake Oconee and sit in 17th place after two rounds.
The Wolves saw a six-shot improvement from round one to two and were led by Thomas Romani who posted a one-under 71. Romani, who started on 10, turned in two-under after a birdie on the 18th. The sophomore made two more birdies on the front nine but made bogey on his final hole to finish one-under and begins the final day in 24th place.
It was a second round 78 for Milton Wallin who managed two birdies and is in 81st place.
Luke Able had the second-best score of the day, carding a 75. Able started par, triple bogey, birdie, triple bogey and then settled in and was two under on his final 14 holes. He is in 103rd with 18 holes to play.
Max Winnersjo shot 81 on Saturday and is in 105th while Jeremy Edmunds shot 86 and is in 106th.
Number 35 Georgia leads the tournament over 16th-ranked Alabama and the Bulldogs enjoy an 18-stroke advantage.
The final round of 18 from the Great Waters Course at Reynolds LAke Oconee is set for tomorrow.
