Six Wolves Earn ASUN All-Academic Honors

CARROLLTON, Ga.- Six members of the University of West Georgia track and field program have been recognized for their outstanding achievements in the classroom, earning ASUN All-Academic honors. These student-athletes show the meaning of dedication both academically and athletically.

Leading the group is Carleigh Bynumn, a senior Health & Community Wellness major with an impressive 3.90 GPA. The pole vaulter from Camilla, Georgia, currently holds the UWG indoor school record in the pole vault with a mark of 3.67 meters, set in 2025.

Reatta Danhof, a junior interdisciplinary studies major, carries a 3.73 GPA. A transfer from Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona, Danhof has made an immediate impact in her first season at UWG. She broke the indoor mile school record four times, most recently running a personal best 4:57.99 at the ASUN Indoor Championships. 

Junior Dru Green, a Speech and Language Pathology major from Carrollton, Georgia, holds a 3.57 GPA. Green recently earned third place in the weight throw at the ASUN Indoor Championships with a personal best mark of 17.08 meters.

Jordan Jarnot, a junior History major from Beavercreek, Ohio, has earned a 3.79 GPA. Jarnot recorded a personal best time of 2:32.40 and was part of the UWG 4x800 meter relay team that set a school record with a time of 10:30.87 at the Tryon Mid-Winter Invitational.

Senior Kathrin Maurer, an international student from Vienna, Austria, is also a Health & Community Wellness major and boasts a nearly perfect 3.95 GPA. During the indoor season, Maurer recorded a personal best time of 18:40.11 in the 5000 meters, finishing fourth in the event.

Rounding out the group is Kristal McQueen, a junior Political Science major from Marietta, Georgia, who is one of the most accomplished distance runners in school history. McQueen currently holds the UWG records in both the 3000 meters with a time of 10:26.6 and the 5000 meters with a time of 17:57.9, while maintaining an outstanding 3.83 GPA.

Together, these six Wolves continue to represent the University of West Georgia with excellence both in competition and in the classroom.
