COLUMBIA, Mo. - Three Wolves are in the top-20 and UWG women's golf is in fourth place after two rounds of play at the Johnie Imes Invitational at Missouri.
West Georgia opened with a 297 before a second round 306 on the challenging layout of The Club at Old Hawthorne. UWG is in fourth place behind day one leader and tournament host Mizzou, Missouri State, and South Dakota State.
Emma Baier led the way for the Wolves and opened with a one-under 71 with four birdies. Baier actually made more birdies in her second round with six, but a nine on her 17th hole of the round put her two-over for the round and tied for eighth.
In 16th after two rounds is Sophie Dhaliwal who made five birdies over 36 holes to shoot 75 in each round. A first round 75 and a second round 76 from Sofia Mondragon has her in 18th place with one round to go.
Alba Caliz Rejas shot an opening round 76 followed by an 80 in the second round and is tied for 26th while Anna Olesen went 77 in the morning round and 80 in the afternoon.
The final round from The Club at Old Hawthorne is set for tomorrow.
