NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The UWG men's golf team wrapped up play at the Surf Club Intercollegiate on Tuesday in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with a final round 300, good for a ninth-place finish.
The Wolves had two inside the top-35 individually, led by Max Winnersjo who shot a final round 75 to finish tied for 21st. Tyler Nesci was tied for 34th after his final round 76 that featured an eagle three on the par-five first.
Milton Wallin had UWG's low round of the day, rolling in a pair of birdies on his way to a three-over 74. Wallin finish tied for 47th alongside Luke Able who finished his first tournament as a Wolf with a 78.
A final round 75 put Thomas Romani in a 66th-place tie individually.
Longwood claimed the team title, shooting a 36-hole team total of one-under par, 20 strokes ahead of the Wolves. UWG finished just nine shots behind the only ASUN foe in the field, Queens.
West Georgia's next action is set for March 17-18 at the ECU Intercollegiate at Brook Valley in Greenville, North Carolina.
