West Georgia Men’s Basketball Signs TJ Farrington

CARROLLTON, Ga. -  West Georgia men's basketball head coach Dave Moore announced on Monday afternoon that recent high school graduate TJ Farrington has signed to compete for UWG in 2026.

"TJ Farrington is a pure point guard from an elite high school program at Gonzaga High School in the DC area," stated Moore. "TJ played an integral role on some very good teams there. We expect TJ to come in as a true freshman and compete every day. He can really shoot the ball! We are excited to add him to our freshman class!"

Prepping in the formidable Washington, D.C., high school circuit, the point guard played for one of the top teams in the region, Gonzaga High School. During his junior year, Farrington helped lead Gonzaga to an impressive 29-5 record capped off by a Class AA State Championship victory. Looking over his Hudl highlights, the ball handler isn't afraid to take shots from beyond the arc. In his senior season, the point guard had several games where he knocked down multiple threes, including a memorable performance in which he drained four three-pointers vs Georgetown Preparatory School.

When Farrington wasn't competing for his high school, the DC native played in the Team Museum Development Organization.

The point guard joins college transfers Lou Hutchinson, Amir Williams, Justin Redmond and Juaquin Dixon, and fellow high school signee Jaylin Sweat in the UWG 2026 class.
