A local product out of Central High School, Powers served as a major contributor for the men’s golf program all four years of his collegiate career at UWG.

Powers qualified for the NCAA South/Southeast Regional Tournament three years in a row, highlighted by top-25 finishes in 2010 and 2012. He became the first UWG men’s golfer to qualify for three consecutive berths in the NCAA Regional.

A four-time member of the GSC Academic Honor Roll, Powers earned top academic honors from the GSC as a senior upon being named to the 2012 GSC Spring All-Academic Team.
