A native of Pompano Beach, Fla., Wright played his high school football at Mountain View in Gwinnett County. At UWG he was dominant during his four seasons (2010-13) in a Wolves' uniform. He was a two-time All-GSC performer and was also named All-Region, and selected to two All-America Teams, including a first-team AP Little All-America selection. Also, as a senior, Wright received the Jim Langer Award, given annually to the top lineman in NCAA Division II.
