Deonta Stocks was an offensive force in every game he played during his career with the West Georgia Wolves. He was twice named All-Gulf South Conference and was the league's Player of the Year in his final season of 2014-15. That season Stocks was also First Team All-Region and All-District, and was named a Second Team All-America choice. He was selected as the Division II All-Star Game Player of the Year by the Georgia Association of Basketball Coaches and was a member of both the GSC and the UWG Basketball All-Decade Teams. In two seasons of play he scored of 1,100 points and averaged 21.8 points per game. His excellence was unquestioned in every game, but he was at his best when the game was on the line. He scored a last-second, game-winning basket to defeat Shorter in his first game in a West Georgia uniform, then cemented the title of Mister Clutch in the final win of his career with a buzzer-beater to defeat West Alabama in the 2015 NCAA Tournament.
